Artwalk 2010 was a complete success! Maxx’s comic “The Adventures of Swordman” SOLD OUT!! And get this… Martin Renaud Publishing surprised Maxx at his graphic novel release party this weekend with his very own ISBN number so that he can sell his comics anywhere in Canada! This August he will have his very own First Friday at Stardust Book Lounge
I am one proud Mom 🙂
The Painted Cat’s booth was also packed this year complete with Painted Cat T-shirts thanks to Acronym Productions and some brand new Painted Cat banners courtesy of Phil Young and his mad banner making skills. A special thanks to Tree House and The Story for being such wonderful hosts!
Since then, we have been booking up fast for birthday parties every weekend! I will be posting pics from recent parties and KIDSFEST 2010 soon!
There is still time for you to book your party this summer but spots are filling fast! email:
Ladies and Gentlemen we are about to embark on the BEST weekend to be in Sarnia…Artwalk!!!! Every first weekend in June, Sarnia closes off Christina St. and fills the streets with artists, live music and food for all! And here’s the best part..admission is FREE!!
I have been involved with Artwalk since 2004 when I was Head of Public Relations and thought it might be fun to paint some faces during the festival..and THAT my friends, is what started it all. The Painted Cat LOVES Artwalk..so definitely come out enjoy the best weekend all year! I will be located outside of Tree House located at 192 Christina St. N. right on the corner of Christina & Lochiel…luckily we are right across from the main stage 🙂 We will be offering Face & Body Painting and Henna as well as some hot off the press (thanks to Acronym Productions) PAINTED CAT T-SHIRTS!!! Saturday June 5th & Sunday June 6th, 2010 from 11am-6pm.
Also my son Maxx will have his very first booth set up outside Future Pastimes, just doors down from my booth. He will be selling his comics, stickers, magnets and bookmarks from his comic series entitled “Sword Man”. He will also be doing Super Hero Caricatures. All proceeds from his sales will go towards publishing his first comicbook! What a li’l entrepreneur 😉
Friday February 5th, 2010 was an evening full of beautiful live music courtesy of Jim Chevalier and Dave Miner, delicious Indian inspired treats from Tree House and me in my cozy cat den by “the fire” creating intricate henna tattoos. What an enchanted evening! Thanks to everyone that came out to support my show. Here are some great shots from the event courtesy of Ashley Ellen and Hailey McHarg
